Wessex Cancer Trust believe that there should be help and support available to everyone living with cancer, when and where they need it. A diagnosis can be a shock and have a huge impact on an entire family and so we are committed to offering free support for as long as people need it.
At each Wessex Cancer Trust cancer support centre clients are welcomed by volunteer befrienders who are equipped to provide information, support and a listening ear. A team of specialist counsellors are there to help deal with the emotional impact of cancer and complementary therapies aim to improve wellbeing, help with pain management and increase self-confidence.
We also provide financial advice, therapy groups, programmes to help people move on from cancer and transport services. Each year we are able to reach over 8,000 people in the local community.
A gift in your will would allow the Trust to help more beneficiaries in places where care is limited or resources are overstretched. All donations make an immediate impact on local people and will help us be there for future generations who need our support.
