Registered. Charity No: 1086565 (England & Wales).

Established in 2000, the Suffolk Owl Sanctuary is dedicated to the care & conservation of Britain’s wild owl populations.

Principally we offer rescue and rehabilitation facilities for injured wild owls and other birds of prey which often require veterinary treatment and always the time, space & care to recuperate and be returned to their natural environments in a healthy condition.

In support, we operate an extensive wild owl nest box scheme. This involves the building, careful siting and maintenance of over 300 nest boxes to provide safe & secure roosting sites for wild raptors whose natural nest sites have been depleted through man’s encroachment on the countryside. Subsequently we monitor & report on birth rates and physical conditions of the wild owl population covered by the nest box scheme.

Our centre at Stonham Aspal in Suffolk offers the opportunity for the public to understand and appreciate the need & importance for the conservation of our wild owl species through talks, demonstrations and our Discovery Centre.  Further, we outreach to schools with visits, events and free educational materials about wild owls, their habitats & lifestyles.

Though based in Suffolk, our “Saving Britain’s Owls” campaign offering advice on the care and conservation of wild owls and other birds of prey extends nationwide through free literature and online support facilities to further our cause.

A gift in your Will will help our charity continue and extend our wide range of specialised British wildlife conservation and education projects, full details of which can be found at www.owl-help.org.uk or by telephoning us for further information.
