Registered Charity No: 1024808 (England & Wales).

The RSPCA exists to prevent cruelty and promote kindness to all animals. RSPCA Cornwall Branch is one of 163 separate registered charities that make up the RSPCA in England and Wales. Each Branch must raise its own funds to maintain whatever animal facilities it provides; we receive no government funding.

RSPCA Cornwall Branch owns and runs the Venton Centre in St. Columb from where, at a cost of more than £500,000, hundreds of animals and birds are rehomed every year. The Centre takes in animals that are abandoned, abused or no longer wanted. Many come to us via the RSPCA Inspectors investigating complaints of cruelty and neglect and require extensive veterinary treatment and nursing before they are fit to be found new, loving homes.

We rely on volunteers who offer practical help with the animals at the Centre or raise funds in our three charity shops and at charity fairs throughout the county. Donations are a vital part of our income as our work is funded entirely through the generosity and support of the people of Cornwall.

Legacies are a lifeline ensuring the Venton Animal Centre continues its work. Please remember RSPCA Cornwall Branch in your will.

Please note you must specify RSPCA Cornwall Branch and our charity number to ensure ill-treated animals in the county continue to be given a second chance of a good home.
