Registered Charity No: 1156027 (England & Wales).

What do we do?:
PCRC is dedicated to improving the survival of men with life-threatening prostate cancer. Our long-term vision is a cure.

Prostate Cancer:
Prostate cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in men. Over 45,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year in the UK. All men who live long enough develop prostate cancer.

Why is Prostate Cancer research needed?:
The primary and most effective treatment for life-threatening prostate cancer, hormone therapy, was introduced in the 1940s. Consequently survival has improved little for advanced disease over the past 70 years. Over 11,000 men die of the disease every year in the UK, and each year the number increases. We need more effective treatment to improve the survival of men with life-threatening prostate cancer.

Our research:
We fund programmes of world class research aiming to develop new and more effective treatments for life-threatening prostate cancer.

Why are legacies important to us?:
It is only through research that improvements will be made in the treatment of prostate cancer. Please support us - legacies are vital. Help us find a cure for the next generation of men.
