Malcolm James is a professional engineer providing advice and opinion on safe working at height, including risk assessments, method statements, safety policies, CDM compliance, evaluation of access systems and means of protection.
He was a principal specialist inspector working for HSE and was their national expert dealing with safe working at height for 13 years. He prepared guidance on safe working at height and especially on how the management of this type of work and the technical issues associated with it could comply with the law on health and safety.
