What better way to be remembered than by helping other families create precious memories of their own? You can ensure your good work lives on by leaving a gift to Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK in your Will.
In 1980, seven year old Chris Greicius was being treated for Leukaemia. He dreamed of becoming a police officer. Members of Chris’s local community rallied round to make his wish come true - just days before he lost his fight.
He could not have known that his wish would be the inspiration for the largest wishgranting organisation in the world. Because this one act of kindness sparked an idea. Make-A-Wish Foundation was born.
In 1986 Make-A-Wish® started granting wishes to children in the UK. In that time, thanks to the generosity of our donors and volunteers, we have granted over 10,000 wishes. Over 1,000 children turn to us each year. But there are around 20,000 children in the UK fighting life-threatening conditions and we would love to be able to grant a wish to every one of them.
A wish allows a child and their family to spend precious time together, creating memories to treasure forever - whatever the future may hold.
At any one time our wishgranters will be working on hundreds of wishes, from being a train driver to flying like Peter Pan. But we will not be able to continue granting these wishes to the children who deserve them without the support of people like you.
