The Lord Dowding Fund supports better methods of scientific and medical research which replace the use of animals.
Since being founded in 1973, the Lord Dowding Fund has awarded grants to researchers working in a wide range of fields including breast and lung cancer, microsurgery, Parkinson's disease, cataracts, toxicity testing of dental fillings, cot deaths, product safety testing, kidney research, schizophrenia, biotechnology, hepatitis B, pain, infertility, tissue engineering and vascular disease.
It is a myth that animals are indispensable to research. We can have solid, scientific medical research without making animals suffer for progress. The Lord Dord Funding can save animals and help people, but only with your generous support. Thank you.
