Registered Charity No: 1103669 (England & Wales).

For over 200 years, Gurkha soldiers have stood alongside us – having taken a vow to defend Britain.

Nepal is a beautiful but poor country. Gurkha veterans can expect little in the way of state welfare or hand-outs and it can be hard for an old soldier to survive.

Many Gurkhas have been decorated for their courage and loyalty, but their medals don't pay for food, fuel or essential items such as clothing. We provide Gurkhas with a small pension each month – enough to cover the basics, enabling them to live with dignity.

Our mobile teams of welfare and healthcare workers journey deep into the hills of Nepal on motorbikes, in 4x4 vehicles and on-foot to pay them a pension, check their health and deliver medication in their own homes.

We provide an international standard of healthcare and medication to Gurkha veterans and their families, including essential equipment such as walking sticks. We also help local communities by providing infrastructure such as schools and water taps for their homes. And if these old soldiers become unable to manage on their own, we have two friendly Residential Homes waiting to welcome them.

They fought for our future. With a gift in your Will, you can fight for theirs.
