Remember and celebrate the life of someone special.
Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice is a charity caring for over 2,500 people with terminal illnesses every year. All of our care is provided totally free of charge to people living in the Boroughs of Royal Greenwich and Bexley. We provide high-quality, compassionate care and support to people with all types of terminal illnesses, their families and their carers.
Our care is delivered to people at home, in care homes, in our Hospice beds, in our Day Hospice and in hospital. Our hospice nurses make around 14,000 home visits a year and we also provide bereavement and family support to patients and their families, for as long as they need us.
We provide holistic care that goes beyond physical needs - offering spiritual, social and psychological care, advice and support wherever needed. We also support and educate healthcare professionals to deliver high quality, individual and co-ordinated care to people.
Our annual running costs are currently £8million and only around a third of this amount is funded by the NHS, meaning we need to raise £5million in voluntary donations this year alone. As a vital local service, we rely on support from our community to continue our work.
Leaving a gift in your Will to the hospice is a lasting way to help make a real difference to the lives of our patients and their families and enables us to provide the highest standards of hospice care to those who need it. All legacy gifts given, whatever size, make a real difference to our work.
