Registered Charity No: Please contact Helen Simpkiss for your Parish Church’s details.
The Church of England plays a vital role in the life of the nation, proclaiming the Christian gospel in word and action, providing services of Christian worship, ministering to those in need and helping to maintain our spiritual heritage.
There are many ways you can support the work of the Church with a gift in your will:
A Legacy to your Parish Church: One of the Church of England’s greatest strengths is its engagement in every community through its local parish church. A gift in your will could help preserve it for future generations and extend its mission into the community.
(NB: gifts should be left to the Parochial Church Council (PCC). All PCCs are excepted charities and therefore hold charitable status. Many are not required to register with the Charity Commission).
A Legacy to a Cathedral: You may wish to support your nearest Cathedral; often the most historically and architecturally important building in its city; a spiritual focus for visitors, worshippers and pilgrims.
A Legacy to the Church of England: You can also leave a gift to the work of the Church nationally via the Archbishops’ Council. Your gift could help to develop mission projects or support retired clergy.
No matter how large or small, every gift in every will makes a difference. Please consider how a gift in your will could help us meet the needs of future generations. Thank you.
