Leaving a smile for the future
There are more than 1,000 children in the South West who suffer from conditions that mean they will die before they reach adulthood. Conditions such as heart disease and organ failure, muscular dystrophy, cancer and cystic fibrosis. Children who suffer in this way need specialised care during their short and precious lives; care which our dedicated children’s hospices lovingly provide.
We are the only children’s hospices in the South West: Little Bridge House in Devon, Charlton Farm, which cares for children and families in Bristol, Bath and North Somerset and Little Harbour in Cornwall, which expands its reach to Plymouth and the Isles of Scilly.
Not only do we provide the care that children with life-limiting conditions require, we also support families along their impossible journey and beyond, into bereavement. The care we provide is specialist and costly and it is vital, with many families describing us as their ‘lifeline’.
We are almost entirely funded by voluntary gifts from the communities we serve, so every legacy we receive, of whatever size, really makes a difference. After providing for your loved ones, please consider supporting those families who will need the support of our hospices, both now and in the future.
If you would like further information about leaving a gift in your Will to Children’s Hospice South West please contact our legacy officer, Rob Emery, at the address on the 'Contact us' tab.
