Registered Charity No: The British Red Cross Society, incorporated by Royal Charter 1908, is a charity registered in England & Wales (220949), Scotland (SC037738) and Isle of Man (0752).

The Red Cross has been helping people in crisis for over 150 years, whoever and wherever they are. Our 19,600 volunteers in the UK are part of a global network of over 17 million volunteers, responding to conflicts, natural disasters and individual emergencies.

In 2017, The British Red Cross responded to 1,500 emergency incidents in the UK and reached 9,300 people in need. Our team of emergency response volunteers are there to help people who are affected by house fires, floods and transport accidents, providing life-saving practical and emotional support both during and after a disaster has struck. We provide first aid training for adults and children, ensuring these vital skills are passed on to the next generation. We provide valuable short-term care and support to vulnerable people in the UK after an accident or stay in hospital and our community transport schemes help older people to live active lives for as long as possible.

By leaving a gift in your will to the British Red Cross you can help ensure that, whatever disasters and emergencies happen in the future, the Red Cross will be there to save and change lives.
