Registered Charity No: 1051388 (England & Wales).
Amber is a small but highly effective UK charity that works with homeless, unemployed young people (aged 17 to 30) and offers them a fresh start. We aim to revitalise young people's aspirations by offering a training programme that focuses on personal development, employability and resettlement skills. At our three residential centres in Surrey, Wiltshire and Devon, we provide a tailored blend of support, structure, training, challenge and opportunity that enables young people to thrive and inspires them to take responsibility for their lives and move forward.
And we get results. Last year over 75% of the young people who left Amber moved on to work or college or achieved another significant goal; all of them had somewhere decent to live and the skills to hold down a tenancy.
''A massive 'thank you' to Amber. A year ago I was a mess. I had a serious drinking problem, homeless and no prospects in life whatsoever. However, I am now almost ten months sober, I have got engaged and have a good job. Thank you Amber for not giving up on me, for supporting me and for helping me find the right path. It's truly a wonderful charity.'' Ben, March 2016
