RNLI

Registered Charity No: 209603 (England & Wales), SC037736 (Scotland), 20003326 (Republic of Ireland).

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is the charity that saves lives at sea, and we’ve saved over 142,200 lives since our inception in 1824. We provide a 24-hour search and rescue service from 238 lifeboat stations around the coasts and inland waterways of the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. And RNLI lifeguards patrol more than 240 UK and Channel Island beaches in season. But we’re more than a rescue service. We influence, supervise and educate people too. We explain the risks and share safety knowledge with anyone going out to sea or to the coast. And we work with like-minded organisations to help tackle drowning in communities at risk all around the world.

Gifts left to the RNLI in Wills are crucial for us to save lives at sea. A legacy to the RNLI helps safeguard our brave volunteer crews, by providing the best possible equipment and training, enabling them to drop everything at a moment’s notice and help those in danger.

Six out of ten lifeboat launches are only possible because of people remembering the RNLI in their Wills. Big or small, all legacies are important to us. After looking after your loved ones, please consider leaving a gift to the RNLI in your Will. When our crews launch, your gift will go with them. It will save lives at sea.

Your legacy is our lifeline.
